The Tide is TURNING!

But I don't think this is what Senator Clinton had in mind:

More than 70 top Clinton donors wrote their first checks to Obama in March, campaign records show. Clinton's lead among superdelegates, a collection of almost 800 party leaders and elected officials, has slipped from 106 in December to 23 now, according to an Associated Press tally.

lol.....the tide is turning indeed, for Hillary.  You want to bring us 2 month old news as "the tide is turning" for your guy.  Oh yes, we know big donors have been giving to both campaigns.  Is that news for you?  The difference is, Hillary's votes don't get bought.  Obama's does, coal, nuclear, energy bill, financial (cap interest), trade (supported weakening trade agreements, et al.

The real story, the tide is turning, towards Hillary.

Polls are shifting towards Hillary.  Hillary has been winning all the contests since March. Oh yes, feel that energy being drawn to Hillary.

President Hillary!!!

Re: The Tide is TURNING! (none / 0)

NOT 2 month old. This happened yesterday:
Gabriel Guerra-Mondragón served as an ambassador to Chile during Bill Clinton's presidency, considered himself a close friend of Sen. Clinton, and became a "Hill-raiser" by bringing in about $500,000 for her presidential bid.

He defected to the Obama campaign yesterday

Re: The Tide is TURNING! (2.00 / 1)

Its nearly May, not March, some things have changed in case you've not noticed; and its been 23ish since the beginning of the month:

Is there some kind of bot that sends out the signals to make diaries like this at the same time here?

Looks like it's down to the dead-enders.

But yes, I agree this wasn't worth a diary entry.

Re: The Tide is TURNING! (none / 0)

Yeah, things have changed.  Coming into the month she needed 67% of the remaining delegates to catch up.  Now she needs 71% to catch up because she blew a huge lead in PA and only wound up netting a 9 delegate swing on a paltry 9.2% win.

Like I said, you're right.  Things have changed.  She used to have one last desperation long shot.  Now she doesn't.

Re: The Tide is TURNING! (none / 0)

In March, it looked pretty darn likely that Obama would win the nomination. And large campaign donors always give to the candidates perceived as most likely to win the nomination. But it is true -- Obama is increasingly being financing by donors with corporate connections, particularly in the health care, financial, and defense industries. Esp. since Pennsylvania, Hillary is becoming the primary beneficiary of grassroots support, while Obama is increasingly relying on large donors. Who would have thought it would come to this?

Ah, the new politics is such a wonderful thing.
